July’s food capers chez moi kicked off with an early 4th of July cook-up with my friend M. “Munched” egg (stealing my Mum’s term for the “improved” scrambled eggs that have always been a regular feature on our breakfast menu) to give us fuel for the main event… stove-top American-style mac n cheese and (extremely!) spicy chicken wings.
On arrival at our hosts’ place, our offering was added to the contibutions of the others… Onion dip for apéro, BBQ ribs and cucumber salad for main, and all followed up by a massive chocolate chip “cookie” and brownie. What a feast! Who says Americans don’t do good food?
